3110cn/mac os 10.4.8...I cannot get wireless communication.

This is frustrating and dissapointing. I've tried everything I can think of to get communication to happen between my G4 (connected via ethernet to a D-Link wireless router, and with an airport card. The printer itself says "no reception" in the wireless settings menu (or whatever it's called). Anybody have ideas?

Thanks!

I've got exactly the same problem, can you let me know if you resolve?

Many Thanks

Good news for me: a couple of days ago I deleted the Dell printer I'd added originally to my G4 and went through the process of adding the Dell again with the printer setup utility (or whatever it's called). Now it works (or at least did when I tried it 2 days ago). I'll have to try again and make sure it's still working.

I can't tell you exactly what I did right. I can say that I spent 4 hours on the phone talking with a tech support guy in India who I could barely understand, trying to get the printer to communicate with my Dell PC via wireless router. He didn't know squat about my problem and kept putting me on hold while he got someone else to answer my questions--sometimes up to 10-15 minutes!!! I can't believe the customer service Dell provdies...anyway, finally we got it to work, and that was prior to me trying the mac again (but 2 - 3 weeks later).

Thanks, that sounds promising.

I spent ages on the phone to apple, who were quite helpful but didn't resolve the problem. I keep hearing about reinstalling the driver, so now I want the printer drivers I can't find my disk ! I'll have to ring dell and get them to send me a new one.

I've tried downloading the ones of the website but they won't uncompress either on the Mac or on my normal PC. I have read somewhere that there are issues with them...

All the best.
