4+ Dell/Lexmark printers service error on network

Hello,

I have at least 4 Dell and Lexmark laser printers that have the service error code (all lights blinking) on my network. If I restart them they print fine with no problems for 30-40 minutes before the lights start blinking again. If they are not connected to the network via cat5 cable they do not do this. My HP printers have no issues and they are on the same network.

I have called Dell support and was told the printer(s) was bad and needed to be replaced (not true unless they all died at once). They are between two separate buildings on the same network but different electrical systems so a power/electrical issue would be very iffy. This just started happening last week with no known network changes.

Error codes below (all quickly flashing). These codes are NOT in the manual or any reference that I can find. Pressing continue after the service error reveals these series of lights.

Any help? SR# 879053404 for any Dell people that stumble this way.

Thanks

Brian

Just tested a 1720dn that has been unplugged for a few months (it does work). It was set to a manual IP address not in the networks range, so it could not be printed to, DHCP is off. After 49 minutes lights flashing same error codes.
