5100CN Fuser or Maintenance Kit
We are getting a message on our 5100CN to replace the fuser soon. When I called our printer parts supplier, they asked if wanted just the fuser or the whole maintenance kit which includes the fuser and various rollers. Fuser alone is cheaper(!) but I'd hate to buy it and then need a maintenance kit in 2 months. i cannot find usage levels/replacement suggestions in the user manual.
5100CN purchased in 2005
From printer settings page:
total impressions: 82,638 pages (color impressions: 69,332 pages; B&W impressions: 13,306)
print volume: 78,402 sheets

I would suggest to purchase the kit. The transfer roller is normally included in the fuser kit, if I recall correctly. This part, if not replaced, can cause further print quality issues if not replaced with the fuser.
