5100cn losing communication with pc

Question

I just got this printer and every so often, it loses communication with the pc (I did a personal install to one pc, so not on network).  I called tech support but not much help there.  It sounds like a driver issue, but has anyone experienced this problem or have a solution?  Thanks.

We have this same problem with 5100s and 5300 that are networked to a print server.   We have to turn off the printer, then as soon as we turn it back on it starts printing the job that was sent.   Anyone have any better solutions?
