944 All In One disc lost

I have misplaced my dis for my 944 printer. I had deleted all the software and drivers due to the printing issues due to upgrading to Vista. I can print now but unable to scan etc. I have srched all over and can only find the drivers and not the AIO utility program. Can anyone direct me to where I can download the disc? Thank you in advance.

I had already ran the the patch and a newer driver R158723 off Dell's website. This allowed me to at least print. But I do not have the Dell All in One Center as I deleted anything having to do with the 944....bad on my part for not making sure I had the disc.

That's no problem, no disk needed. Just follow these instructions.

Disconnect your printer. Download and run this patch to completely remove the printer from your computer. Restart your computer.

Download the proper drivers

XP Drivers

Vista 32-bit drivers

Install the drivers, you'll be prompted when to connect your printer.(powered on)

Scanning

Scanning using USB connection, open the Dell All-In-One Center, click on scanning and copying and scan from there.

Scanning wirelessly, use the scan buttons on the printer.

Rick...you the man!!!! I decided to follow your directions (I can be a little slow sometimes) and it worked like a charm. Not sure why the newer update did not have the AIO Center but bottom line is you were right on the money!!! Thanks for the quick response.

Just got home. Was going to tell you the Dell All-In-One Center is in the drivers package.

Hi Rick,

Following problems with my 944 (I was networking my home PC's - both Dell machines) I ran the drivers and utilies disc with no luck, then followed your instructions in this thread, and still came up against the same problem, which is that the printer drivers install, but when the AIO Photo Centre strats up I get an error message:

"AOIC.exe has encountered a problem"

Windows box to send error report appears. Clicked through, here are the details:

AppName: dlcdaiox.exe     AppVer: 2.15.100.59     ModName: ntdll.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180     Offset: 00010c3f

Any thoughts?

gejroberts,

Right now at this point, it sounds like you want to network your pc's together, probably can you can do print and folder sharing. Let's work on getting the printer installed on the host computer first.

You have all the computers with all the Windows updates. I would also take the custom updates from Microsofts website, since net framework is needed for some programs. Also make sure you have the latest Java.

After you have everything mentioned above, restart your computer.

dlcdaiox.exe can be found in the Dell Printer Installation disk. I recommend the procedure listed above to make sure you have the printer installed correctly. Unfortunately, the ntdll.dll has to do with the Operating system. Do you have the the System Operating disks?

Hello Rick. I have Win XP and have downloaded the drivers and can print only. I don't have the All in One Center at all though. Where in the drivers package is it? And how do I install it please?
