966 printer

I just purchased a 966 printer and the drivers load all the way up to loading the directory then it locks my computer up to the point that I have to shut it off and go into safe mode and delete the drivers and restart the computer I have tried everything I can think of can any one suggest any options:smileysad:

Look in messages for a download site to fix this problem. My cd did not work and this site worked fine. See messages below.

Dell is awful and have people now apologizing for recommending it, and the printer will never work! Tired of reinstall the software and updating also for the 966! Junk is what I was told and it must be true!

I realize finally that Dell is junk! I have reinstalled over a dozen times, and if I never connected online, it should work! Of course the support is never there! I have told everyone to NEVER buy a Dell anything and unfortunately have been told that also!

Well pointless to contact HELP, they don't care! I never get a response! I realize finally that Dell is junk! I have reinstalled over a dozen times, and if I never connected online, it should work! Of course the support is never there! I have told everyone to NEVER buy a Dell anything and unfortunately have been told that also! I am so tired of trying to reinstall and the cheapy printer I had was better than this piece of junk!

Tried it over and over and over again, over 12 times now, and all I can get is maybe a copy or print something, never can scan! Dell is awful they don't help!

Dell never cares enough to fix anything! BBB is the only help and yet Dell doesn't repond! The techs are useless they don't know what to do! I am tired of reinstalling the software and the update! AWFUL customer service and products!

Well you were lucky, 8 months later still waiting for a correctly working computer and now they won't resond, they damaged the computer we sent to them to fix and the printer still won't work right or scan at all! Dell is junk I should have listened to people!

Nothing works no matter how many times I try it! Dell is awful, no real customer service!
