Goodwintony,
Unplug the printer from the wall. Now remove the power brick for 60 seconds. This will reset any error messages the printer is getting.
What happens?

good morning rick,
thanks for the reply, it didn't work. also the light on the brick never went off. i will try leaving it unplugged longer.

Tony,
The power brick must be removed from the back of the printer for 60 seconds. It gives the printer time to de-engerize and resets it. If the power brick remains in, it still keeps it's emmory, even in a power failure.
