A920 printer does not recognise colour cartridge
When I got a new cartridge the printer looked like it was printing out but no colour ink came from the cartridge. I have since bought 2 new cartridges(one of them a Dell) and cleaned them as specified on this message board but still I get no colour ink. I think the printer does not recognise it actually has a cartridge in it. Any help?

When you don't use your ink carts for a while, or when you get new ink carts that have been stored in warehouses for a number of months, or when you have refilled a slightly too dry ink cart, the print head nozzles on the bottom of the ink carts get clogged with dried ink. The printer head cleaner menu will not dissolve the dried ink. Water will. Try this. Soak the bottom of the clogged ink cart in 1/2 inch of hot water for 15-30 minutes. Blot dry with clean paper towel (you should see the ink color on the towel). Retry.
Also, while the ink carts are out, wipe clean the electrical contacts on the back of the ink cart.

I have tried all the recommended ways of cleaning cartridges - but to no avail. if I shake the cartridge I can see the ink coming out, yet nothing ever gets onto the paper.
When I put the cartridge into the printer, sometimes the printer tells me a cartridge is missing - if I cancel this it continues to print without producing any ink on the page, other times it simply prints without any colour ink coming out.
The black ink works fine, but with three full colour cartridges lying around I am reluctant to buy any more.
Any ideas?
