A940 -- Can receive fax but cannot send
I have been unable to send a fax using my A940 BVRP software. I have tried multiple times and numbers. Since I am able to receive faxes without any problems, it seems that my software and connection are fine.
The only thing I'm not sure of is the format that the fax number should be in. -- I'm not sure if it matters whether I put dashes in or string numbers together. I've tried both ways (e.g., 1-xxx-xxx-xxxx and 1xxxxxxxxxx for a long distance number).
Any other thoughts?

Start the BVRP FaxTools and go to general setup (F6). Click the Location tab. If you have a Windows dialing location profile set up, then make sure "Use Windows dialing properties" is selected and the proper profile is selected. In this case you shouldn't have to dial 1 for long distance, only the area code and number. If you don't have a profile set up, make sure "Use FaxTools dialing properties" is selected. You will have to dial a 1 plus the area code and number for long distance faxes using this option.
In either case, dashes are optional. It will work with or without the dashes.
