A940 scanning multiple pages and edit text

Hi! I read former post from last summer regarding the issue of scanning multiple pages and editing text. It was decided that is you download the 463 build of Abby Fine Reader 5.0 you could do it. I went to the Abbyy website and found a link for a trial version of their 7.0. I tried scanning to this and still cannot figure out how to do it.

My questions are these...

1. It was menitioned that Abbyy will provide you with a link to download the 463 build for free. Does anyone know how to do that?

2. Could I use the 7.0 version to perform this function? When I click multiple page scanning and send it to 7.0 nothing opens up.

Any help would be appreciated. I have a multi page document I would like to scan and be able to edit text by saving in Microsoft Word.

THanks again.

Here's the scoop.  Contact Abbyy customer support and ask for the latest build of FineReader 5.0 Sprint.  They should offer to send you a CD with the latest build for a small fee.  I got build 5.0.0.463.

After you load the latest build, add it to the application list in the All-In-One Center.  In the All-In-One Center select Abbyy FineReader Sprint as the scan destination.  Select "See More Scan Settings", then "Display Advanced Scan Settings".  Set the Scan resolution to 300 DPI and Color depth to "Black/White".  Check "Scan multiple items before output".  Do not check "Convert scanned item to text (OCR)".  Click OK button.  Click Scan Now button.  Scan your pages.  After you have scanned the last page, FineReader Sprint will start with the images of the pages.  Click on "Read" the document will be OCRed.  Make corrections as needed, then click "Send to MS Word".  The document will be sent to MS Word.
