a940 wont print black! help!

black ink ran out - refilled cart, it printed about 10 pages and has now stopped. wont print test page and sounds as if it is printing but only colours come out. have re-installed drivers, tried a new black cart, cleaned one of the carts by soaking it in hot water. do i need a new printer? i have tried everything!!!!!

I have the same problem!  I just refilled my black cartridge.  Now only blank pages come out of the printer.  Someone please help.  Zach_Tuthill@baylor.edu is my email address.  Thanks.

After doing everything I could think of (delete printer, update driver, reinstall, etc), I unplugged it again, plugged it back in and all of sudden it prints.  It still shows that my ink is low but I know it's full.  I was told that it will indicate that for awhile and then it will figure out it has ink.   ????  (I didn't buy the Dell ink, but got my cart refilled )

this just happened to me today too.  Same deal, I refilled my ink, it printed a few pages and now it just hangs.  please email any fixes to rbaxley@ksu.edu.  Thanks.
