A940prints blank pages

I have been having issues w/ my A940 for a couple of weeks now, but the latest problem is that when i tell it to print, whether it's from the computer or just copying something w/ the scanner, it goes throught the motions of printing and spits out a blank page. I spoke to a tech. support person on the phone today, and she told me she would call me back in 15-20min. when my software was finished reinstalling, but it's been several hours now and i'm guessing she's not going to call me back. I've tried all the suggestions from the Dell Printer Solution Center program, and it still "prints" blank pages. The computer icon says "Ready", this printer is my default printer, I don't have too many files open, the packing tape is off the cartridges (these cartridges have printed fine before, they only stopped working altogether today), etc.
When I called Dell tech support today, it was because my printer was not communicating w/ my computer and i was getting a cartridge error message. The tech support woman had me uninstall and reinstall the Dell printer software and now the communication problem has been solved, but the blank printing problem was born. Help!!!

I am having the same problem, it printed fine yesterday and now it goes through the motions but nothing is printed. Have you received any solutions yet?

Nope, sure haven't. I haven't had a chance to call tech. support again, either, but hopefully this week I will.  Sometimes I will just decide to try printing again and it will work, but other times it prints more blank pages.  Very weird.

Worked on the church printer last night and determined that it was a bad black ink cartridge. Even though it was half full it would not print black. The document would print if I changed the text to a color. So have ordered a new cartridge, hope this is the fix. I will get rid of this printer combe because it uses too much ink. I will buy an HP.

I put in a new black ink cartridge and everything works fine now.
