What did you do or change just before it started stalling? If you had just installed a new ink cart was it new from Dell? Normally to get the low ink level meter to go go full, when you put in a new ink cart, a quetion pops up on the screen, "new or used in cart". If you answer new, it goes to full. If you answer used, it shows the level of the ink cart the last time it was removed (partially full to almost empty). Even if the level says low or empty, the printer should still print ok
Since you don't get a message indicating a proplem in the software it probably has nothing to do with the driver so reloading it will not help at all.
Look inside to see that nothing is interfering with the ink cart carrier, such as a sprung latch or something that has fallen into the printer.
I don't see anything interfering with the ink cart carrier. Nothing looks bad. When it runs though it sounds like it is dragging a little. I haven't added anything new since the problem occurred. I have removed and reinserted the ink cartridges. It doesn't prompt me to enter new or used at this point. By the way, They are new from Dell. Thanks for your advice.
