There are no Linux drivers. Just Win2K/XP and Vista on some models. However, check the Software/Linux section of the forum, maybe someone has found a workaround.

The internal coding on the printers prevent them from using Lexmark drivers. The Lexmark drivers, on the ones I've seen, are looking for a "lexmark" device and the Dell's identify themselves as "Dell" so the Lexmark drivers fail. Same way with the ink cartridges.
Too bad really. I think Dell is really missing the boat on this one. With the One Laptop oer Child initiative getting off the ground this summer we're going to see hundreds of millions of people getting exposed to a Linux system and being told that Dell is not Linux friendly and it'll take decades to get rid of that stigma. It'll probably carry over into their computer marketing as well even though the computers do work for the most part on Linux. That's an awful lot of potential customers to away.
