AIO 960---Printing problems

My AIO 960 is having printing problems.  I was doing fine til my old cartridges ran out of ink.  I had both a black and color cartridge on hand so I used them.  The black worked fine but the color cartridge would not work and kept giving me the error 50C.  I put the old cartridge back in and it worked fine.  I checked and rechecked the new one for the tape, etc.....still didn't work.  I attempted to contact Dell over the phone but a long wait so I did the online thing and still no help.  I ordered a another new cartridge and it has worked for a couple of weeks but it has now all of a sudden stopped printing anything that is "blue".  I have tried all the trouble shooting stuff and would rather jump off a tall building before I try to contact cs again......any ideas of what might  be going on????

Some of your color ink nozzles are probably clogged with dried ink. Soak the bottom of the color ink cart in 1/2 inch of hot water for 15 to 30 minutes, blot dry with a clean paper towel ( you should see all three colors on the towel)and retry.

Thanks for the help but I have tried what you suggested and it still doesn't print the colors correctly.....especially blue.  I even tried the other new cartridge I had and it won't print any color.  Ink comes out when I dry them after soaking.  The printer says that I need to remove the tape (that is not there) .......Any other ideas???

I am having the exact same problem, anyone have a solution??  The soaking thing helped a little, the yellow is starting to print now, but no other colors.

Since soaking helped some, it is almost for certain dried ink in the nozzle. I would continue with this cure at least a couple of more times until I got the ink flowing reasonably. It's fast and it's free. Plus by actual count it works 97.6% of the time.

I'm having a similiar problem. My black ink was out and I changed the cartridge. I went into the control panel and set it for a new cartridge the test page came out looking great.  When I go to print out the actual page from the computer it's really blurry and not like the test page was at all. I've changed cartridges and still have the problem. I even downloaded a new driver off the internet and that wasn't the problem either.  have any suggestions I could try. Thanks.

After replacing the ink carts did you do the alignment program?

When I tried to print out a test page it won't let me. It says printer paused. :(

I tried soaking the bottom of my black ink cartridge in hot water as described and it worked perfectly after one soak for twenty minutes. After re-installing I also ran a test page and then a nozzle cleaning, which sharpened up and "blackened" the printing even more.

Nozzle cleaning is described on page 67 of the owner's manual.

Thanks for the help.
