Alignment issue with Dell 924

Question

About a month ago I put a series 5 color dell cartridge in to my printer 924. the message I keep getting is that my alignment is not correct, and ensure the tape is removed. I have checked the tape and it is removed but the alignment page is not printing correctly and the system is telling me that my colour cartridge is low.

Teresa Quinn,   If it was a Dell Series 5 ink cartridge, then I would contact the place of purchase for a replacement cartridge. The sensor has failed in your cartridge.     Rick

I believe I ordered this with Dell, Just ordered another set of cartridges - Are these faulty?
