If it was a Dell Series 5 ink cartridge, then I would contact the place of purchase for a replacement cartridge. The sensor has failed in your cartridge.

I believe I ordered this with Dell, Just ordered another set of cartridges - Are these faulty?

Yes, they seem faulty. Contact Dell for replacement cartridge(s)
