Cannot access printer through a web browser

I have a 5200n laser printer.  For some reason, I cannot access the printer through a web browser.  The printer is working just fine otherwise.  Add input would be appreciated.

Can you ping it in command prompt?
You can open it and type:
ping IP_address_of_the_printer

and see if it can be reached.
If no, then you have a network configuration problem.
If yes, then probably you have a firewall which blocks http requests?

I had this happen and finally figured out what was going on.  Your browser window or frame needs to be "active", so before you tell the printer to print, click in the region you want to print, and you may have better success.  Also, there are two ways to print--you can click on the print icon at the top of the browser, or you can use the drop down menu File...Print...  I often find the second way to be successful if the first hangs.

If none of this works, try closing your browser and then reopen and go through the steps.  If it still doesn't work, try rebooting the machine.  Sometimes computers can act up!
