cannot reinstall printer having some type of error message

Question

I tried multiple times to reinstall it. it says it reinstlled then when i hit the finish button i get a message stating it can't communicate???

log on to www.support.dell.com and from the support on the left hand side u have and option to selct a system click on the then enter click on that after that enter service tag number in that and then click on solutions then reinstall guides after that click to select operating system as winxp and click on go u will find the solution

What is the printer type that u have and if u have the service tag u can log on to www.support.dell.com

i did all that and i got an email stating someone would get back to me in 8-12 hours with a response and i have not heard anything yet. you guys responded quicker than they did.

hi bushwyck,          hey thats gr8 but u did not mention the printer that u have is it a laser or a inkjet printer . and if it is a laser there is a fix for it could u plz reply back
