Can't Send or Receive Fax

Hello Forum.   I have AIO 942, after configure step by step i can't receive or send fax. saulo

The 942 uses your PC's internal modem for faxing. Be sure that the phone line is plugged into it before you begin. You'll need to configure the MS Fax console from inside Windows for this to work. If it's not already installed, you'll need to install it. Check to see if it's there, go to Start/AllPrograms/Accessories/Communications/fax/fax console. If it's not there, you can install and configure it by following the instructions in this link:

Hello printboy

I thank you for the time taken to help me out. I have everithing configured by the book and i even rechequed my settings and configurations but it is not working. I followed all line by line.

Yes, it was sent to me by SBC(speedstram 5100). 1 gray cable for DSL and 1 yellow cable for ethernet. The gray cable goes to phone line and the yellow goes to ghe back of the computer on the phone line.

What exactly is not working?  Are you having problems sending a fax, or receiving one?  Are you sure that your phone line is connected to your PC's modem correctly?  Do you use the PC's internal modem for a dial-up connection to the internet?  Thanks for the extra info...

What do you mean by 'using external' for your internet?  Is it an external modem??

With DSL(Digital subscriber line) you need to have a filter which can make it analog to send and receive fax. The filtered line needs to be connected on the back of the computer on the line ine port and not on the phone symbol port. ensure these. And try to give any other, more specific info regarding problem.
