Cleaning V313w Printhead

My Dell V313w printer won't print, citing trouble with the printhead.  Following instructions, I have removed the printhead and attempted cleaning it with a clean lint-free cloth.  But black ink is craked in a streak that will not come off.  What is recommended for uncaking the cake and cleaning off the entire printhead?

AugPen,

Not sure if dampining the lint free cloth with a few drops of water would help.

Then try shaking the Dell Series cartridges before reseating them. Use caution and make sure the lip is in the coreect position.
