SRDF from physical R1 to Thin device R2

Has anybody tried to use SRDF from physical R1 to Thin device R2, and is it supported?

AFAIK SRDF between physical to thin isn't supposed to work. The only allowed way to move data from physical to thin is Open Replicator.
