Have you tried plugging the printer into a different USB port?
Are you sure you are using the correct drivers, e.g. 32bit/64 bit etc.

It was working fine till about a week ago. I am guessing some automatic update may have caused the problem but I am not sure. Whatever drive that is installed was fine until then. I use a network cable not USB.
