Dell 1110 Laser Printer Compatible with Apple? Mac? Macbook?

Hello.

I have a Dell 1110 laser printer. It's been a great printer for me ever since I purchased it about 4 months ago.

It has been connected to my current HP laptop (using windows xp) but am highly considering switching over to Apple and a new Macbook.

My question is if my beloved dell 1110 laser printer will work with my new future macbook purchase.

Apple is running a promotion stating that when a macbook is purchased, a free printer comes with the macbook but most likely it will be an ink printer, while i love my dell 1110 laser one.

Thanks!

Look on the installation CD for the Dell printer and see if the software supports MAC OS X which is the OS the MacBook has? If not, post back for more detailed procedure?

I don't know for certain, but I seriously doubt you'll find a Mac driver for this printer. It's a host based device, I think, and Dell doesn't list it as being support on Mac OS.

Hi--

I am a MAC user that was just given a old Dell 1110 to help me out until I can purchase a newer printer. I read your thread and tried to download the samsung driver you posted.  It didn't work for me and I am wondering if you would mind walking me through the steps. It may also be that I have an older MAC too -- a PowerBook G4 -- your post was from 2006 so maybe that is not the issue.  thanks!
