Dell 2155 Deep Sleep Mode is Causing Major Problems

We have a Networked Dell 2155 which is managed by a Windows Box. The Printer does not wake up from Deep Sleep mode when a new job is sent. Every morning an employee must go and either Cycle the Power or tap the Buttons to get it up again and at that time... Print jobs start flying out.

The "Deep Sleep" Mode allows 5-60 minutes, but no way to disable it. Was options do I have here? We have tried everything to keep this printer from going to sleep.

tkeok278,

I looked through the manual and could not find an option to disable the printer power management. Will keep searching.

TKEOK278, I agree. I was searching the internet for this same issue and was sent to this posting. The deep sleep is a problem. My 2155cdn is not networked. It is USB connected and when I print from deep sleep, the printer starts up then hangs in a "waiting for data" status. It seems to receive about 1/2 the total data sent. The easiest fix is to cancel the printing in either the taskbar icon or the printer keypad and then re-print. There is no way to turn off deep sleep. This is a real pain..... Dell, easy answer add a "never" to deep sleep or fix the hanging issue.....
