DELL 3100cn faulty replace toner message

I have a 3100cn color laser that wont print. It starts up normaly running through calibration and so on, then displays "Cyan toner replace" all the time and wont print.

Before this error apeared there has by error been installed a black toner cartridge instead of cyan! could this somehow have damaged the printer so that a sensor is broken or? Even though the black toner cartridge now is replaced with a correct brand new cyan there is black toner in place of cyan inside the printer. Is that a possible cause of the error? and how can i get it out? Anyone got any ideas?
