Dell 3110cn Print Quality Issues
If I print a page containing only black content either as a colour output or as a black output the page contains no extraneous colour patterns.
If I add any colour then I get a pattern consisting of 8 evenly spaced (across the page) 12mm (1/2") long by 3mm (1/8") high 'parallelogram' shaped smudges every 28mm (1 1/8") down the page.
Any ideas where they come from on the paper path and more importantly how to get rid of them?
Thanks

I am experiencing exactly the same problem with my 3110cn. I have tried resetting the NVRAM without success.
Like Paul0999, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Biologist66, I spent £300 on a transfer unit because that seemed the logical answer to the problem. The smudges were the same colour as the toner cartridge recently replaced so it couldn't be the cartridge. Well it turned out that the £300 spent was a waste of time and money, it didn't work. So, I replaced the 'new' toner cartridge. Guess what? Problem solved.
I hope this helps.
