Dell 720 inkjet printer problems
I received a 720 printer with my 5150 about three weeks ago and my black printer cartridge still refuses to print anything despite me checking that all the tape has been removed from the contact points. I have been reading the past posts from other users on here with 720 black ink cartridge problems and tried the suggested methods and my cartridge STILL will not print.
I have emailed dell about this (today 14/09/04) but I do need a conclusion pretty soon as I am moving to college in under 2 weeks and plan on taking it with me.
I would like to know if any other 720 printer owners here have overcome their black ink cartridge mess? I just hope I don't have to end up forking out cash for another printer cartridge when I could've had a fully working free trial cartridge.

This is odd. I have the same printer and the same ink problem.
Can you tell me which email you used to report the problem?

I thought that when I received my 720 printer this morning I was doing something wrong! I went through all of the trouble shooters and still the black ink cartridge won't work. I am glad that I am not the only person who has had this problem recently - maybe this is something that Dell should be looking into? Perhaps there has been a faulty batch of black ink cartridges? Nevertheless, I am stuck until Monday morning as the phone lines are closed and the e-mail service won't accept my Service Tag!
