Dell AIO 924 Printer Error

Question

When turned on printer carrier just slams hard left to right and stops.  There is no specific error message code #, however it states to clear the carrier jam and restart.  I have done this several times, plugged in and unplugged several times, uninstalled & re-installed, put in new printer cartridges, checked all the connections.  I have power because it does something, just not print and I have the error message.  If I run the diagnostics it says the printer is busy and will not run them. This error just happened out of the blue.  Worked fine one day and not the next.  This is not a high demand printer, just for home use.

Snow Flake, If you have time and patience, try reading... Cleaning the encoder strip (Loud bang from printer carriage) The second thread tells you how to correct this. Rick
