Since your wife has the same unit, plug yours into her PC and see if it prints slow there. That will tell you if the new 966 is OK or if it has a problem. Obviously, if it prints slow on her system it's time for a call to Dell.
If it works OK on her system, try a different USB cable or different USB port, including trying a front panel USB port and see if it makes a difference.
Thanks, fireberd, for your reply. I have already done the "try it on another computer" routine, as well as a (brand) new USB calbe and a different USB port (I tried on the front, on the back and on the powered USB hub), all to no avail. Any other suggestions? If I don't get a fix for this I will have to go back to my old Lexmark X810 printer to get my printing done.
