Likewise, I am now on my third Dell AIO printer; first came an AIO 928 which ceased to print after three months. Dell's 'support' team eventually gave up trying to remedy the problem and replaced the printer with their 948 model. That one suffered a mechanical failure ten months later so Dell replaced it with yet another 948 which has, this week, simply stopped printing. That, coupled with the fact Dell now charge an eye-watering £23 for a black cartridge, makes me wish I'd never bothered. Terrible, terrible products.
Did you try looking where the paper leaves the paper tray. There should be a little switch there. Make sure the switch is not stuck.

Others have unplugged the printer, removed the power brick and turned over the printer and shook them for 30 seconds and have actually had objects fall out. They also tried using a vacumn cleaner.

SueRiv,
