serenamiday,
Make and model of your computer and operating system? 32-bit or 64-bit?
What virus program and firewall are you using?
Printer wired, wireless or using a host computer?

I have a similar question regarding an HP Laser Jet 1000 Series printer. This is not a wireless printer. The priner is in perfectly good shape but what I'm being told is that it is not compatibe with my new Dell.
My details are as follows
This printer was previously hooked up to an Windows XP computer and I have the set up disk, however, my new computer is a Dell Optiplex 9020 All in One Windows 7 professional 64 bit. Is there any work around to get this perfectly good printer to work with my new computer.
Thank you

jllaf,
Did you try the software from HERE?
First run Delete Print Jobs to remove stuck print jobs from the queue, then restart your computer.
Make sure the printer is not usb cable connected.
Try installing the software in the XP SP3 Compatibility mode? You may get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at this time(powered on) The printer may also be plug and play.

Allow printer past Trend Micro
