DELL LaserJet Printer 1710 - Error & Offline

I just moved, and my printer was working fine before I moved.  Now when I try to print something, nothing happens.  The document just sits in the printer queue.

When I go into Control Panel --> Printers, it tells me my Dell LaserJet is "Offline - Error".  I then right-click on the printer and select "Work Online" but then it still says Error and won't print anything.

I can't figure out what is wrong with it.  There is no printer jam.  It didn't stop working mid-cycle or anything.  I just set it up in my new place and it started doing this.

What is wrong and how do I fix it??

Thanks in advance!

My fiance insisted on hooking up my computer for me, and he had plugged the USB cable into the ethernet port rather than the USB slot on the back of my CPU...  at first glance, when I checked it the first couple of times, I couldn't tell anything was wrong, it looked like everything was plugged in properly.

I'm just glad it was an easy fix..I was getting ready to throw the printer out the window lol.

It's a common mistake and I've done the same thing...... plug-in by "touch and feel" instead of really looking at the connector. The worse that can happen here is that the end of the USB cable damaged and bent the spring connections inside the network connector. If you never plan to use the net connection.... no big deal.
