Dell Photo 926 Scanning Problem
I have a Dell Photo 926, it can print, copy but for some reason it will not scan. It says there is a miss communication between the computer and the printer. I have tried all the necessary steps under trouble shooting and still no luck. If there is anyone who can help me out, it would be much appreciated!

Try this tweak and see if it helps.
Go to device manager(right click my computer, left click properties, left click hardware, left click device manager)
Go to the USB Controller section and click the + sign.
Go to each USB Root Hub and right click on it, left click properties, left click power management. Uncheck the box, allow computer to turn off this device to save power.
Restart your computer.

Try running Finding System Information remove your product ID and post it back here. Also provide the virus protection and firewall you're using.

Rick,
I am having the same problem as wf18. I ran the "finding system information" as you suggested. Can I jump into this thread or should I start a new thread? Not sure of the protocol. Please advise.
