Dell Photo AIO Printer 964 Doesn't Complete
The printer prints out the pages, but then "hangs" at 99% even though the pages have been printed and ejected. Control Panel view shows job as "Deleting" but that's as far as it gets. Sometimes can get it to restart by turning printer off and back on if there's another print job in queue behind it. Operating System is Vista Ultimate SP2. I've tried reinstalling the driver files...no change in behavior.

npdavidw,
Try reinstalling the printer using the method below and let me know what happens.
First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print job in the queue.
Disconnect the printer.
Download and run the patch(printer cleanup utility) until it prompts you to restart your computer.
Restart your computer. Make sure the printer is removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal
Download the Vista 32-bit drivers for Windows 7 32-bit or the Vista 64-bit drivers for Windows 7 64-bit. Install the Vista drivers in the Vista Compatibility mode You'll get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at this time(powered on).
Links to the patch/drivers can be found at...

Remember virus programs and firewalls will block communications.

Also tell me the virus program and firewall you're using.

npdavidw,
First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print jobs from the queue.
Disconnect the printer.
Download and run the patch(printer cleanup utility) until it prompts you to restart your computer.
Restart your computer.
Make sure the printer is removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal
If your usb ports are working properly(if not, post in the Dell Desktop Forum for assistance) Download the Vista 32-bit drivers.
Install the Vista 32-bit drivers. You'll get a message the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at this time(powered on) If the printer does not install, then try the firewall solution listed below, first. If it doesn't work, then there is a usb port issue with your system.
