dell printer v515w

I recently tried to connect this printer with the laptop, but it seemed that I cannot install the communication device into the laptop properly. At first, I used the USB function, and it showed that "communication not available". Then I use DELL distant assistance to repair my USB drivers, but now it still told me connection unavailable.

So please tell me how to repair it. Thank you!

micwat,

Glad you got it working! :emotion-21: Thanks for posting back. Usually if you install this printer, while online, the drivers are automatically updated.

Take care,

Rick

ok this has stumped me for a while, I disconnect the power to the printer, reconnect and it connects back to my router and network. It works fine until it goes idle, then I have to repeat the first process, the light is green and it shows on my network the whole time even when checking my router, ( linksys e3000) I am currently running windows 8 but this issue was the same in win7, vista and on my winxp pc's. I have all the drivers and firmware updates and nothing changes this problem, I tried it on my old router as well, same issue. any thoughts or ideas up to and including the use of C4 are appreciated!!!
