Dell3110cn paper problem

Question

Brand new printer tells me to load paper into the tray. 'No paper detected' 024-965. There is already lots of paper in the tray. What to do?

All 024-9nn errors relate to paper type or size mismatches per the print job submitted to the printer.

024-910 or 965 = Tray 1
024-911 or 966 = Tray 2
024-912 or 969 = MPF

- try different type of paper

- don't fill the Tray fully... put there so 90% of advised sheets number, to test it.

- reseat the paper tray (if using paper tray, remove it fully and put it back again)

- nothing should help - contact Dell :)

Finding paper to fit  the software setting could be difficult some time.   More practical approach is check on your driver and appplication media size/type setting, and use the fitting to nearest feature .
