Do you turn off your printer when not in use?

Question

My old printer (Epson C82) had a huge problem with it being left on. If you kept it on when it wasn't in use, the print heads will go bad and print out blanks. Unfortunately, I didn't find this out until after it went bad.

I now have a Dell AIO 962. This isn't an el cheapo printer like the C82, so I want to make sure if I need to turn it off when not in use. Does anyone know?

My 922 does not shut off automaticle and the online support chat line said that you have to turn it off manually, although it will turn on automaticly when you give it a print order. V/R bergal

I usually turn my printer off when not in use.
