Does 3000cn Toner use a "Smart Chip" ?
My buying choice is down to the Dell 3000cn and HP 2550L - but I have decided NOT to by the HP color laser since the toner cartridges (per a review I read) uses a "smart chip" in the toner cartridge that counts the number of pages printed, but not the amount of toner used, and FORCES a cartridge change even if there is toner remaining
Does anyone know if the "Dell Toner Management System" also uses such a "smart chip" to force a cartridge change before the toner is actually used?

Ok... it may be the review I read was wrong about the HP toner process... but what about the Dell toner?
How does the Dell toner determine when it needs to be replaced?
