Drivers for AIO 926 Printer
All of a sudden when I tried to print I got the dreaded "computer not connected" message and now the "USB device not recognized" message. So I uninstalled the AIO 926 components and tried to download a new driver for the AIO 926 but the setup won't even open for me. Ugh. I am in deep and have tried related suggestions from the forum but to no avail. Any suggestions for me? Is this a driver problem?

Hi Rick. Lightening just touched me. I understand only now you ask me to remove the product ID from the informations I post here. I thought the idea was to remove a key concerning the printer from the computer. Still I don't know how to copy/paste the complete informations from the shell? thx.

Different ways to do this.
Click edit, select all
click edit, copy
Then come to the thread, click on reply
Press and hold Ctrl and press the V key
All the information should past to the thread.

Ok. I 've got no edit button in the shell, and when I select all and press control+c the text is not selected anymore. Am I doing wrong? (The shell is a system shell, with white characters on black page)

ok. I just succeded to copy the informations, which are in french. Hope it's not a problem.

hi Rick. I try to answer twice but my posts seem to have gone in a dead end. :-) If I understand well you ask me to copy/paste the informations, without the product ID. I tried to but I could not copy/paste from the system shell. Is there an easy way to do that or do I have to write it manually, which would be very long! Thank your for your help.

First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print jobs from the queue.
Disconnect the printer.
Download and run the patch(printer cleanup utility) until it prompts you to restart your computer.
Restart your computer. Make sure the pritner was removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal
Download the Vista 32-bit drivers. Try to install the Vista 32-bit drivers in the Vista Compatibility mode You may or may not get a message to connect the printer. The printer installation should not work.
Then go to...
(C:\Program Files\Dell 926\Drivers)
Right click, create folder. Name the folder French
Copy all the files in the English folder and paste them to the French folder.
Double click on the Vista 32-bit drivers and install the printer. When you connect the printer, the installation will complete. The printer will work in English but will work with your operating system.
You could also try the French Vista 32-bit drivers for the Dell 926 Printer in the Vista Compatibility mode

Rick,
when I discovered the way you replied to other members, I thought: "this guy knows how to do his job". You just fully demonstrated it. I just had to install the french driver, which actually is the one I had installed months ago on my 32 bits version of win7, and unfortunately erased in my processes of archiving. Note that the administrator mode is not even necessary for me, neither the compatibility mode. IT WORKS ALL RIGHT! HOORAY! BRILLIANT! MANY THANKS!
one last question: is there a french driver in the 64 bit version of win 7? If there is could you show me a link? If there is not, would the procedure you just explained above work with 64? Thanks again for your disponibility and quick responses. You are THE boss!!!!

I found what look like French 64-bit drivers for the Dell 926 Printer. You'll need to run the procedure, like above. I suspect that these drivers might be the Vista 64-bit drivers, so when installing the drivers, if they do not install properly, the first time, try them in the Vista Compatibility mode
