No, I'm actually putting off calling the service department right now because when they send you a refurbished one it's usually an old one that someone's jacked up pretty bad. My printer's fairly new so I'm just dealing with it and will call when the printer gets a lil older... good luck.

A two minute google search on "error code 062-360" indicated that you may have a faulty IIT/IPS board, atleast for a xerox printer/scanners. Who knows, maybe your Dell printer is just a re-branded Xerox printer with some minor customizations. In any case, one possible solution these errors is to reconnect the cables to/from this board. Obviously this seems like a 'service procedure' so if you want to try this yourself, i would suggest finding the service or maintenance manual on line before even attempting it.

From the post i looked at, it stated:

Try disconnecting the cables to the scanner and document feeder with the machine off. Make sure they are firmly connected then turn the macine back on.

Description At the adjustment of CCD output after power on, CCD does not make a correct output which it should when no light is incident on it.

Initial Action

   Refer to BSD 6.2.

   Power OFF/ON

Procedure Check the connection of each IIT/IPS PWB connector.

The connectors are connected correctly. Yes No Unanswered

Connect the connectors.

Turn on the power again.

[062-386] reoccurs. Yes No Unanswered

End

Replace the CCD PWB ( PL 11.4). If the problem persists, replace the IIT/IPS PWB ( PL 11.3).

"A two minute google search on "error code 062-360" indicated that you may have a faulty IIT/IPS board,"

Shockingly, after two minutes I found the same google search result when i first started looking for a solution. After following the steps with no success, I decided to come on to Dell's support forum.

So if someone from Dell could respond with some actual support advice, that would be great.

@igostavro (Christian), nowhere in your 1st post did you indicate that you searched the web and found a link indicating a possible hardware fault. Then you SHOUT and later SHOUT EVEN LOUDER finally bumping the thread so Dell support can come running to your help on this forum.

Well, I hope you realize that this is a Dell user forum with Dell staff moderating to keep things civil. I, as a Dell customer took some time out of my day to try and help you and you respond with sarcasm. You will not likely get any users responding to your shouts and poor behavior let alone some actual support person (if they happen to be browsing the forum), so tone it down for your own sake.

Now your own web searches should have made you realize you likely have a hardware fault. In such a case, you would be much better off to call support to resolve your hardware issue under warranty (if indeed your printer is still under warranty). If not, then consider buying another unit if you don't want to pay for diagnosis and repair.

While I thank you @skylarking, a user, for your response, I still do not see where in my web results I should have realized I have a hardware fault, aside from linking an error code on a xerox printer to a dell printer.

Also, as these forums are labeled as a support forum and DELL employees post in them, I assume some sort of support will be provided by posting in them.

"Dell.com » Community » Support Forums » Peripherals » Printers Forum » error code: 062-360"

So unless you have further support, or you indeed work for Dell, please stop responding to this thread.

Regards

I didn't provide 'support', rather i took time out of my day to help you as a fellow Dell forum member.

And I do not work for Dell. If you search my posts, you would see that i have been rather critical towards Dell when i felt they deserved it and thus you should realize i don't work for them.

As i initially said, your Dell printer may be a rebadge xerox printer. Who knows but Dell. This xerox printer issue was a hardware based problem so it's not a leap to suggest your printer issue may be a hardware based problem.

I also can't speak for what Dell employees do on these forums but most state in their posts or signatures that they do not post on behalf of Dell as this is a user help user forum, not an official Dell support channel. Having said that, one sometimes sees a Dell support person help users (but those users were not shouting).

So, if you want Dell support, your best approach at this point is to call the support number for your region. I would also suggest being polite as the support staff are people and yelling will get you nowhere.

Again, thank you for your response. I am aware you are not a Dell employee. Also, as I am typing, I am unaware as to how I can yell.

I will await a Dell response on these forums.

Regards.

Hopefully someone with some printer expertise can chime in and provide a better insight into your printer issue and how to best resolve it.

As for how one can yell when typing, the general convention is that when one fully types a word in capitol letters, it is equal to yelling in a room to be heard over other chatter.

Good luck..
