'Hardware Error 0502'

Question

Everytime I try to print, scan, copy ...try to do anything on my A940 its keeps on telling me that there is a "Hardware Error 0502", I have been trying to figure out how to fix it and i'm having no luck at all....PLEASE HELP me and explain how i can fix this major error

Hi,

Please do the following steps to get rid of the error.

Open the print cover.
Locate and remove any obstructions in the rear of the printer that could block the printer carrier path.
Close the printer cover.

If Nogo, Try this:

Remove the power brick from the back of the printer.
Wait five seconds.
Firmly reseat the power brick.
Make sure the printer is turned on.
Lift the printer's front cover.
The ink cartridge should be in the up/loading position unless the printer is busy.
Squeeze the tabs on the cartridge lids and lift the cartridge lids up.
The cartridges will pop up when the lids are fully lifted.
Remove the cartridges.
Replace the cartridges.
Snap the lids closed.
Close the printer's front cover.
Remove the power from the printer and slide the cartridge carrier to the middle of the printer. (Take the top part of the belt and move it gently to the right.).

That's Funny The Technition was telling me to slide the encoder strip back in place and I'm Looking at it and it's in place Here it had nothing to do with this!!!!

Ok well I found mine is out of place where do II put it ?and How do I do it can someone help me (I really dont like talking to tech support unless I have to) I do I put This thing back in?
