I just got my J740 a few days ago and It won;t let me install with my dell computer that is a 2000 ME editon windows

ecm101,
a windows me and a win2000 are 2 separate operating systems, when your computer boots up, do u see win2000 or just winme? are you getting any error messages upon installation? are you using a usb or parallel (the horizontal port) connection?
