Yes you have to set the paper on coated1 in the menu on the printer and also in the software.
In the software :
START - PRINTER AND FAXES - right click your dell - Properties - printer preferences - paper tray - paper source - MPF settings - choose in this list coated1.
On the printer :
Press Menu - down to TRAY SETTINGS - to paper type mpf - and then coated1, press the middle button so you see a * next to the paper.
This should work.
Don't forget to set everything back to plain when you done with your work.
