What I am really wondering is if there is some extra piece of kit I can get to allow the printer to connect wirelessly to the router?
Why? That doesn't make sense since it works great. You must have a wireless printer to disconnect from the router and the directions to set that up will be in the wireless printer manual. The 1320c is not a wireless printer.
