Since Jimmy suggested getting the new drivers, here's what to try.
Disconnect your printer. Un-install your printer. Make sure it's NOT in the add/remove programs. Restart your computer.
Download the latest drivers for your HP OfficeJet 5510 from here. Install the drivers, you'll be prompted when to connect the printer.
