HP OfficeJet 5510 Software Load Issue

Question

I have a new Inspiron 530.  I'm unable execute the .exe file from the HP software to load the drivers for the scanner for the printer in the message text.  The error messages states that I must have administrator rights, yet I'm the administrator.  I've worked with Dell tech support to troubleshoot but no success.  It has something to do with advanced user options.  Any help is appreciated. I've tried right clicking and loading as an administrator, and that is not working.  I'm also logged in as the administrator.

vienesse  If you are trying to use the CD that came with the printer you might want to download the latest driver instead. My guess is the drivers on the cd are for XP and not Vista.

Since Jimmy suggested getting the new drivers, here's what to try.

Disconnect your printer. Un-install your printer. Make sure it's NOT in the add/remove programs. Restart your computer.

Download the latest drivers for your HP OfficeJet 5510 from here. Install the drivers, you'll be prompted when to connect the printer.
