jkrourke,

On the printer, look in the maintenance section and see if there is a place to turn on/off the network adapter. Here are the instructions for a different model, if may get you in the area to do this.

Turning the wireless adapter on/off in the Dell V715w Printer

looked at instructions....when I go to  Setup, Network. it says "Network Connection in Progess.....". Maybe that's the problem...it's stuck. But I have no idea how to fix that. That message has been on since the first time I checked the printer menu days ago. Even if unplugged and turned back on. Even if I removed the adaptor and put it back in.

jkrourke,

Unplug the printer from the wall. Then remove the power brick from the printer for 60 seconds. This resets any error messages the printer is getting. It should also allow the printer to look for the new hardware when you plug it back in and power on.

The printer will need to be uninstalled(programs and features) on the computer you're using. You will then need restart the computer and install the printer like it's a new printer. You'll select new installation, network and follow the instructions. It will prompt you to connect the printer(using the usb cable) powered on, then ask for your network SSID and password. Once this is setup, the printers Wifi light should show it's connected.

Thanks Rick. I tried that...still can't get rid of the ""network connection in progrss...." on printer menu though. As tomorrow is the last day I can return the wireless adaptor for a refund, I am giving up. Thanks for trying.

Julie,

Sorry you could not get it working. There must be something wrong with the adapter.
