Laser Printer 1710n collating issues from within certain applications.

We recently added 3 Laser Printers 1710n's to our network. The setup went very smoothly and users can print from MS-Office applications and other programs without a problem. The problems start with collating from within our accounting software MAS500 (made by SAGE, formerly known as BEST SOFTWARE). When users print multiple sets of invoices, usually more than 3 pages each invoice, Printer does not collate. The driver is set to collate, so is the web interface of the printer is set to collate. The application MAS500 is also set to collate. Same sets of invoices sent to an older HP printer collates without a problem. I have issued a ticket with SAGE regarding this and they keep pointing fingers at Dell and the driver of the printer. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It is definitely Dell's printer driver, they need to either update the driver or the firmware on the printer.

I been having a lot of problem this printer, especially when sharing accross the network.  I have the printer installed on a Windows Server 2003 and shared to the users.  Any users with Windows 2000 that uses the printer experienced a lot of problem.  Their Office 2003 application would freeze and constantly crash.   I had to install the printer directly on their computer for this problem to go away.  Windows XP users are fine when using the shared printer.
