LPT1 Printer Port
Hi all,
I've bought a lovely Dell Inspiron 530 desktop PC, and I'm very happy with it, except it doesn't have a printer port - therefore my dongles have nowhere to plug into or my colour laser!
I know I should upgrade everything, but at several thousand £ I need to find a cheaper alternative.
Is there an LPT board I could plug in?

Tom,
If I read your post correctly, your printer has a paraell ort on it and you want to be able to connect it to your computer with USB Cable.
Here are two different types, I think you looking for top one but the other one is below it. This is probably what you're looking for. I would consider purchasing one locally and if it doesn't work, plead dumb and say your wife got the wrong cable. :emotion-5: How well it will communicate I really can't tell you. Whenever you use cables like these, you run the risk they may not work correctly.
