M5200 900 Service Rip Software error

We recently upgraded to office 2010 and 64bit windows 7.  Since upgrading our Dell M5200 has been giving the error 900 Service Rip Software when students are trying to print.  The error code it is giving is "49 Page4 Sending Sigbus (epc=8c7378 ra=8c97ec bva:8053a680)".  Any ideas on why this may be happening?

CarrollTech,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

I looked up this error in Google and found many 900 Service RIP Errors. Take a look at the link below on how to resolve this error.

A 900 RIP Software error indicates that the printer has encountered an error while a print job is being processed. Here are the steps that I recommend:

  1. Turn off the printer and leave it that way for at least 20 seconds to clear the printer's memory.
  2. Clear any pending print jobs to prevent any corrupted print jobs from being sent to the printer again once it is powered back on.
  3. Turn the printer on. Once it goes to Ready status, you can start printing again.
  4. If the error persists, the problem could be with the printer, the communication cable, or the print job itself. Check your printer settings, the computer, and your connection.

Hope these steps will help you.
