MacBook no longer finding printer

I have a Dell C1760cn printer that was working seamlessly, but then it randomly stopped working. I have not changed anything in my systems. The macOS is up to date, running Tahoe 26.

Printer settings indicate that I have a good wireless connection with the same SSID as the computer I am using. The printer status is offline. Powered down and then back up the printer with no success. I removed the printer from my laptop in an attempt to reconnect. It does not find the printer by an auto search or by me typing the name of the printer for a search.

Your help is appreciated. Ilene

Had the same issue, try giving the printer a new static IP from your router settings, then add it manually on your Mac using that IP. Fixed it for me.

What do you mean? How do I give printer a new static IP from my router settings?  I am not techy at all and don't understand how to do that. Help?

If the printer was printing before, the first thing I’d try would be checking if the printer’s IP address has changed, perhaps following a router restart. If that’s the case, then you’ll need to re-add the printer, this time pointing it to the printer’s current IP address.
